About Me

Why Interaction Design?

In my bachelor degree of psychology, I participated in numerous psychological experiments. The ones interested me the most were the VR/AR based experiments, involving a unique interaction between human and machine. I found myself obsessed in the area of HCI, and decided to pursue my postgrad in this direction, to discover more about ways of interaction.
As a student with psychology background, I have a solid base on research but lack the ability of visual communication. To create new and fun ways of interactions, I chose to dig deeper into the area of interaction design, and found myself enjoying the liberation of my creativity in this process.

Future Direction

As an interaction design majored student, I want to enter the industry as a UI/UX designer. While at school, I want to try as many areas as I can while I have the chance to, and I believe those try-outs are not a waste of time. Any skill I learned during these processes may contribute to my future work, and sometimes can open up a view to another relevant field that embeds my potential interest.
With the influence of the pandemic on our work and lifestyle, I'm currently interested in the remote communication involving mixed reality or multi-sensory interaction, and the balance between working remotely and interpersonal connections.
